If for nothing else, 2011 will remembered as the year when watching up-and-coming indie filmmakers eat stuff became cool again. “Yumblecore” began all the way back in March with an e-mail to Michael Tully (Septien):
“When we’re in SXSW, I want to film you eating a single rib. It will be awesome.”
Since that long ago day, the yumblecore series has grown to encompass a full four videos, with regular, monthly installments planned for 2012. Who will be next? Stay tuned.
